This project focuses on the following activities:
- Recuperation of areas where we will plant endangered and native species.
- Germination of seeds for the production of endangered and native plants.
- Care of the growth of these plants in a nursery.
- The extraction or eradication of introduced species and reforestation or planting with the plants produced.
- Community and social support to the agricultural sector in cleaning, planting, harvesting and seed germination without the use of chemicals that can alter the ecosystem. This activity is totally manual, with compost and organic fertilizers. The volunteer will provide support to the farmers in accordance with the established work schedule.
- Planting of organic products in gardens for volunteer consumption.
- Manage the mini projects geared towards schools, Senior Citizens, and CIBEBES
- Support in projects focused on children with various disabilities (BLUE HEARTS)
- To adapt a specific area to maintain the care of terrestrial turtles, as well as for the planting of the OTOY, a plant that will serve to feed the turtles
- Other activities that arise in the community.
The ranch has chickens and cattle and the volunteer can share the tasks of feeding, milking and preparation of cheese.
Working Hours
The hours established by Las Goteras Ranch are:
Monday to Friday 8am – 12pm and 2 – 4pm
