PROJECT: SAVE NATIVE ENDANGERED GALAPAGOS PLANTS BY MEANS OF PLANTING AND CONSERVATION.
What is, Hacienda Las Goteras?
“Las Goteras Ranch” gets the name because of the Las Goteras (drops) enclosure, since in this enclosure there is a wall 8 meters high where drops of water appear and fall to the ground drop by drop, forming a pool of water. About 35 years ago, the families that lived in that area went to the water basin to perform personal grooming and collect water by the gallon for the preparation of food.
Las Goteras Ranch is located 21 kilometers from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno on the island of San Cristobal. Las Goteras Ranch is a family company managed by Marjorie Ballesteros, her son Wilson Andrade, as well as Paul Alarcon as Project Coordinator. In the area of Las Goteras there are 15 families engaged in agriculture and livestock for several decades.

Our Vision
The Las Goteras Ranch is unique. We are a project in the Galápagos Islands, focused on conservation and protection of the environment, as well as in the strengthening of agriculture and community support.
Our motto is that “drop by drop”, with the help of our volunteers, we are saving the endangered plants of Galapagos.
